Cheap Entertainment

we use the cheapest 

of entertainment to pass the time, 

our containment is guaranteed

when all media outlets 

are rubbing our belly’s 

with easily digestible nonsense,  

the insurrection of the human condition

started from inception,

it’s in our mothers milk

and the chemicals that result

in global incoherence,

millions upon millions of people

are hung on hooks, they rotate 

on a chain mechanism

used to slaughter cattle,

they’re stunned, 

their throats cut

with the blade of propaganda,

they’re left feeling nothing, 

life made them numb to everything 

that defined them

so now cheap entertainment 

keeps them from kicking up a fuss
