on consumer products

or barcodes on the 

back of consumers necks,

it’s a technological interrogation,

it’s a digital blood donation,

mass consumption

finances mass corruption

within the market,

it’s an age-old tale,

a broken system 

when the consumer 

can’t afford a home, 

when they’re unable 

to feed their flock

without juggling 20 jobs,

but then the financially dumb

blow their tiny disposable income

on the latest iPhone 

and anti-aging cream

for their 6-year-old, 

tell me, please, 

when was our moral judgement   

sold for below market price?

and what would you sacrifice 

to start acting like a human again?
