They Are Fear!

And they've seen themselves 

in their mothers 

and they've seen themselves 

in their fathers 

and in their father's brothers 

and in their father's brothers sisters,

and they’ve seen it in their sons

and they’ve seen it in their daughters,

and they've read their words 

as if they were Shakespeare 

and they've recited their lines 

as if they were Chaucer

but they are neither 

they are fear!

fear of becoming their mothers

fear of becoming their fathers

fear of becoming their fathers brothers

fear of becoming their brothers sisters,

fear of passing their fears onto 

their sons and their daughters

and they bark their orders 

as if they were Hitler

and they discipline 

as if they were Josef Mengele

but they are neither

they are fear!
