dank, 

dingy dining,

cheapskates ordering

flat pints of Carling,

a halfway house 

for the royally redundant,

putrid colour schemes

pungent themes scream  

the best days are behind us! 

there’s a fuss at the 

‘all you can eat breakfast’,

gluttony’s on display

when you don’t have to pay,

half-finished conversations

can wait until next time 

when we can’t afford to dine

anywhere that garners 

less than a one-star rating
