Wonder

I wonder what it’s like

being naturally happy

without the use of

perscription drugs,

I wonder what it’s like 

being a President elect

who wages a war from

his hot-tub,

I wonder what it’s like 

to not feel pain 

to punch

yourself in the face 

over

and 

over 

and 

over again,

I wonder what it’s like 

to be diagnosed with Aids, 

constantly afraid 

of someone’s sneeze, 

where every little knock

might lead to a bleed,

I wonder what it’s like

with motor neurone disease

where your shell is a 

prison cell you can 

never ever leave,

I wonder what it’s like

under a caliphate

where woman 

are stoned

and children 

are raped 

for showing 

their hair,

I wonder what it feels like 

not to care 

about the deterioration 

of western nations,

knowing full well

it’s all part of the script 

and your government 

are complicit

in your replacement,

I wonder what it’s like 

turning on the news

and not witnessing

a rhetoric designed

to confuse,

where

the BBC 

don’t abuse

the 

gullible

still paying 

their 

license fee,

it really does 

appear to me

that wonders 

will never

cease,

we’ve found

the eight wonders 

of the world,

I hear number nine

is peace
