In This Picture

In this picture I have sketched myself

the darkest points display my joints,

shading starts where my eyebrow’s part,

the brush was pressed and dragged

to the point where my shoulders sag,

you can see where the strokes change,

this represents the poison in my veins,

the torn canvas page shows my rage

it’s binding shows my age,

I used fine lead pencils 

to enhance my stare

adding realism to my bird’s nest hair

I pulled a length of the page apart,

this is where you can see my heart
