A False Human Future
I feel like I've been alive
one million times before
maybe once a scarab beetle
or a soldier in the Boer war
my joints having turned to dust,
my brain rotting away
I’m more than ready to except the decay
becoming sand once again,
a bodiless being free from pain
or maybe a slave
during Tutankhamun’s reign
fused into metaphysics
etched perfectly into hieroglyphics
I came down from the sun
millennia before the earth begun
I saw its crust cauterised and cast
there’s a map of its past
hidden in the stars,
constellations are markers
enabling fast travel,
as the universe unravels,
interdimensional intention
uses unseen intervention
frequency control is running rife,
mother earth having fallen on
both sides of the knife
she’s become a dumping ground
for human life
a genetic experiment
gone terribly wrong,
such a thin thread
civilisation now hangs from,
we’re just animals
no different to the meat we eat
if the rules were to change
and we had to compete
we’d devour one another,
sister killing brother,
brother killing mother
concocting flamboyant recipes
to make human skin more appealing,
the thought of reincarnating again?
I just can’t deal with the pain,
walking tight ropes until I’m dead
modern life is like a spear through the head
Mother Earth?
there’s only so long
we can abuse her
all of this is leading
