A Self Harm Society

We’re living in a self-harm society

most are too conditioned to see,

through automaton vocation

too compliant for a revolution

there is no sense of retaliation

when the mind is on a permanent vacation

trapped in a self-harm society

those effected just can’t except it,

addicted to verbal masturbation

the pleasure, pain of self-flagellation,

we’re living in a self-harm society

I wish it would just leave me be, 

those in chains are never free

most are too blind to see
