Rational Thinking

we’re all left running wild

untamed ideas infiltrate reason,

I see no sense in holding on

to a desire long gone,

no traces of the want I felt

remain fruitfully fertile 

I look around me 

understanding nothing of what I see,

you waste your time so dangerously,

how can so much mean so little?

how can each statement 

be so fucking noncommittal,

I’ll never find the words 

to describe exactly what I’m feeling

I see no truth, no clarity 

no trace of rational thinking
