A Life In Analog
The digital tides will rise
I can feel the insurgents lapping at my feet
pressing the electrodes in-between my toes
activating a synthetic feeling of joy,
characteristics of all mankind have been nudged,
electronic stimulation is at play
correcting the shortfalls in human DNA,
I don’t want to live this way
we were born to die, can’t you see?
they say that love conquers all
but love leads to an endless downfall
it’s a confusion of the senses
a seed that needs sewing
imagine living life never knowing
it’s a slow march to the slaughterhouse
things were simpler before the invasion
state control governs mass persuasion,
can’t you see the perversion?
it’s an evolution in reverse
a carefully constructed metaverse
the sky above is one of many holograms
a projection of thought,
a perception taught to deny expansion
we’ve been made dumb
through dogeared education,
unable to question through
relentless indoctrination
